ESR 6 - Clementina Vitali
Clementina is pursuing a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at Wageningen University and Research. She graduated with both her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition at Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome. She carried out her master’s thesis work at the Institute of Food Science Research (CIAL, UAM-CSIC) in Madrid where she worked on the development of advanced methodologies for green extraction and characterization of carotenoids from microalgae.
Within the MonPlas project, her main research objectives are the development and validation of new analytical methods for the extraction, detection and characterization on micro- and nano-plastics in water, beverages and food.
